The story behind FameBoost
FameBoost is Sweden's leading "Open Social" web solution and "phenomenon", that has been generating the most unique visitors in the shortest time (compared with companies in the Swedish market). FameBoost launched its first Open Social application in June 2008. The number of unique visitors increased from 0 to nearly 1 million per week according to google-analytics.
 
When developing new services or applications, we begin by understanding the view from the individual's perspective. We harness and provide a framework in which the natural momentum of the user community is increased considerably . Today we offer a variety of community applications that all have a common factor - the individual at the center!
 
FameBoost may never have survived birth. In its very first inception, a solution was launched that allowed bloggers to use an iframe architecture to increase traffic to their blogs. This service launched in April 2008, was seen as a DDoS attack and the page was shut down after two days. However FameBoost persisted and two months later we launched our first Open Social application and since then, FameBoost has been growing in strength.

The FameBoost business model does not depend upon traditional banner advertising for generating income. This does not work for FameBoost and has never been the objective. Indeed banner advertising has never been really effective since users filter banners out of their attention without even thinking about it. Large parts of our visitors today consists of young people from America, southern Europe and Asia ...
 
 
Instead of traditional advertising, we offer the advertiser various services and opportunities to drive traffic to one or more target websites through individuals interacting in social communities and blog portals. The key to a successful and cost-effective (targeted) ad campaign is based on the closeness of the relationship between the audience and advertiser - we help our clients find it!
 
We are FameBoost
FameBoost was started by two young Swedish entrepreneurs, Alexander Halldin and Mikael Keto. Both Alexander and Mikael have an innate understanding of how young people think and act on the Web. Additionally FameBoost is supported by a handful well heeled and experienced entrepreneurs with a string of successes in creating and managing businesses internationally. Our vision is to create a successful brand by focusing on solutions that allow manufacturers direct marketing and sales access to those customers that they wish to target.
